Charity Napier is a part of US Black heritage.

Charity was enslaved by Elias Wills Napier in Dickson County, Tennessee.

In August 1848, "Charity my old Female Cook" was emancipated in Elias Napier's will.[1][2]

Charity's only daughter Lucy remained in slavery.
