Biography

Apphia Hyde was born September 29, 1757, in Norwich in the Colony of Connecticut. She is the daughter of Jedediah Hyde and Jerusha Tracy.^[1]

Apphia married Samuel Cardell February 9, 1780, probably in Norwich. They had one son when Samuel was lost at sea on January 13, 1781.^[2]

Apphia married Benjamin Walworth, as her second husband, May 29, 1782. They had ten children together.^[2]
