Biography
Courtney was born about 1887. He was the son of Edgar Foster and Ida Farr.
In 1900, Courtney Elmer Foster was a 12 y/o Scholar living with parents Edgar, 47 and Ida, 47 and 9 siblings at South Thomaston, Knox, Maine.[1]
Per obituary he was a veteran of both World Wars, he served in the first as a Chief Machinists Mate in the Navy and as Chief Engineer in the Merchant Marine in the "recent war" [WWII]. ..
He married Theodocia D. Annis (1886-1963)
They had child Virginia Rose Foster (1923-2005)
He passed away at 59 y/o on 8 Mar 1948 at Ash Point, Owl's Head, Knox, Maine. He was buried at Ash Point Cemetery.[2]
