"Laurena" Barrett, age 2, in the 1850 census living in Nashville, Hillsborough, New Hampshire with her parents Towns and "Laurena", brother Henry R, and likely grandmother Lydia Barrett.^[10]

Lemira Barrett in the 1860 census is living in Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire at the age of 12 with her family^[11]

Lemira Goodhue in the 1870 census is living in Burlington, Chittenden, Vermont, United States at the age of 21 with her husband Andrew G Goodhue age 22 and a Carrie Wright (female) aged 45 and a “cabinet maker” Henry Wright (male) aged 33.^[12]

Lemira in the 1880 census is living in Burlington, Chittenden, Vermont at the age of 31 “Keeping House” married to her husband Andrew J. Goodhue aged 32 with daughter Grace A. Goodhue aged 1 and Father-in-law Benjamin Goodhue working as a “farmer” aged 62, mother-in-law Caroline Goodhue aged 58 and brother-in-law a “medical student” Perly E. Goodhue aged 21.^[13]

Lemira in the 1910 census is living in Burlington, Chittenden, Vermont at the age of 60 married with her husband Andrew Goodhue aged 61. He is employed as a “inspector of Vessels” and government servant ^[15]

Lemira in the 1920 census is living in Chittenden, Vermont at the age of 70 married to Andrew I Goodhue aged 71^[16]

• A sister is mentioned in her obituary by the name of Mrs. John R. Hasel of Roxbury, Mass.
• Gravestone shows birth date April 26, 1849; obit mentions 1850
• Marriage record shows date 1870; however obit mentions 1878
• Name is also mentioned as Elmira
• Middle name possibly “Anna” or same as daughters middle name
• The daughter of Townsend & Lucy E Barrett of the proper age to be Lemira is consistently enumerated as "Laura A" in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. She is not enumerated with her parents in the 1870 census, as would be expected by Lemira's marriage date. However, a "Laura Whipple" of the same age is enumerated with the family in 1870. Further research is needed on her marriage. This profile Lemira's birthplace is given as Nashua/Hillsboro, NH on her marriage record. "Laura A" was born in Massachusetts, likely in Ashburnham in Worcester County where the Towns Barrett family lived. DO NOT CONFUSE THE TWO!
