Biography
Villa Alice Kizer was born on 29 Sep. 1899 at Farmington, Pennsylvania, USA.[1] She appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 in the household of her parents, Clarence R. Kizer and Alice T. (Weeks) Kizer, at Osceola Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.[2] She appeared on the census of 23 April 1910 in the household of her parents at Potter Co., Pennsylvania.[3]
She married Carl Flurschuetz, son of John N. Flurschuetz and Cora (Meisgier) Flurschuetz, on 18 July 1918 at Olean, New York.[4]
She and Carl Flurschuetz appeared on the census of 6 Jan. 1920 at Olean, Cattaraugus County, New York. Alice (Weeks) Kizer, mother of Villa was living with them in 1920. In addition there is a young girl, Dorothy Kizer age 5, in the family, her identity is not known.[5] She and Carl Flurschuetz appeared on the census of 5 April 1930 at 15 Edson St., Buffalo, Erie County, New York.[6]
Carl died in 1963 and was buried at West Hills Cemetery, Galeton, Potter County, Pennsylvania.[7]
Villa died in 1974 and was buried at West Hills Cemetery, Galeton, Potter County, Pennsylvania. Her memorial has only the name A. Flurschuetz, and a note that the inscription on her headstone is: "Spouse of Carl C."[8]
