Biography

Birth

Jessie was born on the 15th of August 1892[1] She was the daughter of John Rinehart Dowlin and Irene Elizabeth Taylor.[2]

Residences

In 1905 Jessie, about age 12, was living in Lindsborg, McPherson, Kansas.[3]

In the 1910 census, Jessie, about age 17, was living in Lindsborg Ward 3, McPherson, Kansas.[4]

Marriage

Jessie married Vern Blaine June 2nd 1912.

Death and Burial

Jessie Margaret (Dowlin) Blaine died on Wednesday afternoon 2nd of October 1918, aged 26 years, she was at the home of her father-in-law, D. H. Blaine, 113 South Elm Street, Ottawa, Kansas. Mrs. Blaine came to Ottawa, Kansas last Saturday to visit. The cause of death is given as heart failure, she was suffering from influenza. Her husband, Verne Blaine, is with the Army in France. Jessie's two small children also survive. The body will be shipped to Lindsborg, Kansas this evening for burial, she was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg, McPherson, Kansas, United States of America. Her date of birth is given in the record as 15th of August 1892.[1]
