Asa Smith Bushnell was an American Republican politician from Ohio. He served as the 40th governor of Ohio.
Asa Smith Bushnell was born on September 16, 1834 in Rome, Oneida, New York, United States, son of Daniel Bushnell (1800–1884) and Harriet Smith (1806– ).
In 1850, Asa S was in the household of Daniel Bushnell in Storrs, Hamilton, Ohio. [1]
Asa married Ellen Ludlow (born in August, 1836 in Springfield, Clark, Ohio) on September 17, 1857 in Clark. Their children were:
Asa died on January 15, 1904 in Columbus, Ohio, aged 69. He was buried in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, Clark County, Ohio.[2] [3]
