Barbara (Leigh Smith) Bodichon is Notable.
Barbara Leigh Smith was born in 1827. She was the daughter of Benjamin Leigh Smith.

She was an English educationalist and artist, and a leading mid-19th-century feminist and women's rights activist. She published her seminal work, Brief Summary of the Laws of England concerning Women, in 1854 and co-founded the English Woman's Journal in 1858.

She married Eugene Bodichon in 1857.[1]

She was the leader of the Langham Place activists. She co-founded Girton College. She mentored Hertha Ayrton and financially supported her studies and patent application. When Hertha had her first daughter, she named her after Barbara.[2]

She died in 1891. [3][4][5]
