Biography

Peter was born at Nakusp, British Columbia, Canada on August 20,1917. He was the son of Karel Aalten and Gertruida Versteegh ^[1]

When Peter was 31 years old he married Ruth Margaret Lawrence. They were married in Powell River, British Columbia on March 13, 1949 (source needed). She had two children from a previous marriage and they had one child together.

Peter was a mill worker for the Powell River Mill Company. On February 10, 1956 he was in an accident while driving a truck on their dock. The vehicle flipped over, landing on him and causing his death. He was laid to rest on February 14, 1956 at the Powell River Cemetery. ^{[1] [2]}
