Biography

Sally was born and baptised in 1834 in Finedon, Northamptonshire, England,[1] where she lived with her parents, Jacob Abbott and Sally Clarke, in 1841.[2]

At the time of the 1851 census, Sally worked as a domestic servant for the Bayes family in Finedon.[3]

In 1855 she married Alfred Watts.[4] In 1861 the family lived at Mackworth Green in Finedon. Alfred worked as a tailor.[5] By 1871 they had moved to Queen Street in Kettering, Northamptonshire,[6] and in 1881 they lived in Leicester, Leicestershire.[7][8]

Alfred died in 1892 at the age of 59.[9] In 1901 Sally lived with her daughter, Cecilia, and her family at 11 Mount Road, Leicester.[10]

Sally died in 1904 at the age of 69.[11]
