Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree .
WikiTree members are always happy to offer guidance if you have questions so if you need to ask for help. And our Mentors Project has a very friendly bunch of volunteers happy to help with WikiTree-specific issues. And Please check out our question of the week: Honoring USA Independence Day - Were any of your ancestors on the "wrong side" in a war?
Have fun and see you in the branches!

A warm welcome to WikiTree, a genealogy site different than any other! You should have received an email from us with helpful links to get started.
Our goal is to have one single profile per person so that we have ONE big family tree and we collaborate together to make that happen.
Each volunteer at WikiTree adds to the collaborative tree at their own pace, there are no minimum requirements for time or entry.
When you volunteer, you indicate your interests by adding tags and comments and then one of our Greeters will confirm your membership.

Welcome to the family!
