Adams (age 46, born in PA) was employed as the Owner and Manager of a Steam Laundry, and living in a home he owned with a mortgage at 1013 State Street in Hood River, Oregon with his wife, Ellen Adams (age 34, born in Sweden); son George Adams (age 4 years and 9 months, born in OR); Sister-in-law Esther Johnson (age 24, born in KS) who was employed at the Laundry; and Sister-in-law Edna Johnson (age 23, born in KS) who was employed at the Laundry. Ellen immigrated to the USA in 1887 and became a naturalized citizen in 1914. Arch's father was born in Germany and his mother in New York; both of Ellen's parents were born in Sweden. [1]
On 10 Apr 1930 at the time of the 1930 US Census, head of household Arch F. Adams (age 57, born in PA) was employed as the President of the H.R. Steam Laundry Company, and living in a home he owned valued at $6,000 at 1013 State Street in Hood River, Oregon with his wife, Freda A. Adams (age 43, born in Sweden) with their son George S. Adams (age 14, born in OR); and son Robert F. Adams (age 10, born in OR). Arch was 41 when first married; Freda was 27 when first married. Arch's father was born in Germany and his mother in New York. Both of Freda's parents were born in Sweden. Freda immigrated to the USA in 1886. [2]

Adams (age 67, born in PA) was employed as a Manager of a Laundry and living in a home he owned valued at $6,000 at 1013 State Street in Hood River, Oregon with his wife, Frieda A. Adams (age 52, born in KS); son George S. Adams (age 24, born in OR), employed as a Driver for a Laundry; and son Robert F. Adams (age 20, born in OR). [3]
On 12 May 1993, George Selder Adams died at age 77 in Hood River, Oregon. [4] George was buried at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA in Plot X, O, 2218. George had served in the US Military as a PFC, US Army Air Corps. [5]
