Biography
When Thomas Washington Akers was born on March 11, 1849, in Floyd, Kentucky, his father, Jonathan, was 34 and his mother, Sarah, was 33. He married Louisa Catherine Childress Akers on July 17, 1873, in his hometown. They had ten children in 19 years. He died on December 2, 1943, in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, at the age of 94, and was buried in Freeman, Missouri.
