Biography
Stephen was born in 1775. He married Rebecca Curry, daughter of Joseph Curry in 1806, probably at Falmouth, NS.[1] He passed away in 1847 and is buried at the Akin family burial ground located near the Avon River.[2]

According to J.V. Duncanson, there are two brothers - John Stephen Akin who married Rebecca Jones and Stephen Akin who married Rebecca Curry.
