Biography

William was born in 1893 as the illegitimate child of Annie Allan and Kenneth Stuart in Wanganui. The Family were based in Pipiriki. His parents married after his birth. He passed away in 1960 in Carterton.

He Worked in Kaikohe as a Carpenter till age 21

Served in WWI as William Allan

Yes i can see NR - this could mean either they had an affair during his trips up river and later married or he adopted him as his own. Ill do some more research . An affair is possible as The Wanganui - Pipiriki river boat serve commenced in 1892 with the Wairere, Captain Stuart took over 1893-1894 (25ish years old) due to Captain Marshall retiring In 1892 .

DNA might be good!  :) Only two living children of William and Annie are females (my grandmothers sisters) and hard to track down.

Kenneth and Annie didn't marry until 1895 so it is possible that William isn't Kenneth's biological son.
