Birth: Nettie Allen was born about 12 Sep 1867 in Wells, Maine. She was the daughter of Clarkson M Allen and Melinda (Perkins) Allen.^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]}

Death of Father: Nettie is just over 2-years-old when her father, Clarkson Allen, age 34, passes away on 27 Oct 1869 of typhoid fever in Wells, Maine.^[7]

1870 and 1880 Census, Wells, Maine: ^{[6] [8]} Nellie is living with her siblings with her mother listed as head of household. If they are not in the same home, the appear to be in the same neighborhood based on neighbors. In 1870 Nettie's mother's occupation is "keeping house," which appears to mean she is not working outside her home. Nettie's mternal grandmother maternal Sally Perkins is living with them. There is no obvious income coming into the home; but Melinda owns real estate. Nettie's older siblings Perkins and Julia have been attending school. Nettie's paternal grandparents Andrew and Judith Allen and Nettie's maternal aunt Abigail (Perkins) Allen and her husband, Nellie's paternal Uncle Thaddeus Allen are living very nearby. By 1880, Nettie, age 12, is attending school. Only her brother Edward, age 16, remains at home with her mother and grandmother. He has not be attending school and is working as a farmer. Her grandmother, Judith, has passed away and her grandfather, Andrew, has gone to live with her uncle, Ivory Allen.

25 May 1884 Nettie F. Allen marries Thatcher P Wilson in North Berwick, Maine. The marriage is registered in Lynn, Massachusetss where Thatcher is living. Nettie is 17-years-old and residing in Wells, Maine at the time of her marriage. Thatcher is a 30-year-old carriage maker the son of Joseph D Wilson and Mary A (Perkins) Wilson. The marriage was solemnized by clergyman William Quint of North Berwick.^{[5] [4] [3]}

Child: Walter Warren Wilson was born 10 Sept 1887 in Wells, Maine.^{[4] [11]}

Death and burial: Nettie F. Wilson passed away about 2 Jul 1890 at the age of 22 years, 9 months and 20 days. She is buried in the Wilson Family Plot on Quarry Road in Wells, Maine.^{[1] [2]} Find a Grave's cemetery page shows two burials, Nettie and her father's. However, cemetery collection records indicated that Nettie's Aunt (who is also mother-in-law) Mary A (Perkins) Wilson is buried there as well as Nettie's mother. After Nettie's father's death and husband Thatcher's) mother's death, Nettie's mother Melinda marries Joseph D Wilson who is Thatcher's father (Melinda's sister Mary's widower). Neither Thatcher Wilson nor his father Joseph Wilson are buried there.^{[12] [13] [14] [15] [16]}
