1850 Census, Wells, Maine:[2] Mary A. Perkins, age 17, is living with her parents and unmarried siblings. She is listed with not occupation and has attended school within the last year. Her father's sister Aunt Polly Perkins is living in the home as well. Mary's father is a farmer who own real estate. See lines 26 - 32.

Marriage: Mary Ann Perkins marries Joseph D Wilson on 21 Sep 1851 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Mary Ann has been living in Wells, Maine. Joseph is living in Lynn where this record indicates he was born.[8]
-Other records indicate that Joseph was born in Nova Scotia, Canada and both his parents where not born in the United States.[9][10][11]
1860 Census, Berwick, Maine:[13] Mary age 25; Joseph age 35 and Thacher, age 7 are enumerated. Joseph is listed as a carpenter. They own no real estate.
1870 Census, Lynn, Massachusetts:[9] Mary, age 36, and her husband Joseph, age 46, are living with their children. Joseph and their son "Thacher", age 16, are working as housing carpenters. Thacher has not attended school in the last year. It appears the census taker originally indicated that Joseph was no able to vote, but then crossed of the mark.
1880 Census, Lynn, Massachusetts:[10] The family is living at 55 Timson Street. All the children are still living in the home. Joseph is continues to work as a carpenter. Son "Thatcher" is now working as a machinist. Both their daughters are attending school.
Death and Burial: Mary A. Wilson passed as on 16 Jan 1884 in Lynn, Massachusetts from bilious typhoid fever. She was aged 50 years, 6 months and 6 days.[1] She is buried in the Wilson Plot on the Quarry Road in Wells, Maine. Mary's sister Melinda (Perkins) (Allen) Wilson; Melinda's first husband Clarkson M Allen, along with their daughter Nettie F Allen Wilson (Mary's niece and would have become daughter-in-law) are also buried there. The cemetery records specifies that neither Mary's husband Joseph Wilson nor her son Thatcher Wilson are interred there.[14][15][16][17]
Mary's widower Joseph D Wilson marries Mary's sister Melinda (Perkins) (Allen) on 25 Jan 1885 in North Berwick, Maine. The marriage is recorded in Lynn, Massachusetts where Joseph has been residing. Melinda has been residing in Wells, Maine. The record confirms their parents names.[18]

1860 Census described above is off in the age of Mary, but not the age difference between her and her husband Joseph. Also, the name of the son is transcribed as "Hither." Further confirmation of them living in Berwick, Maine would add to the confidence of this source. If this is not accurate, a 1860 Census is required.
