Biography

Elisha Ames was born on 7 November 1757. He passed away on 27 Sep 1845. Elisha Ames enlisted in the Revolutionary War in New York. He served in the 1st Regiment of Massachusetts under Jeremiah Miller. He served from 1777[1] to 1783. In 1818, when the Pension Act[2] was updated, Elisha filed. His brother Ephraim was a witness to his claims of service.[3] In Elizabeth's statement for pension benefits, filed on June 1850, a widow, she states she was married to Elisha on August 13, 1777.[4]
