Anna was born in 1806 as the daughter of Anders Andersson and his wife Stina Jansdotter in Backa, Sunnersberg parish.[1][2][3][4] In 1837[5] she married Peter Andersson, a farmhand working for her parents, and they took over the running of the farm.[6][7][8][9] In 1870 they in turn turned it over to one of their daughters and her husband, but continued to live there[10] until they passed away from old age in 1885[11] and 1886,[12] respectively.
