Ezell Anderson was born on 10 Oct 1896 to Daniel and Sophia Anderson.

In the 1900 census Ezel (age 5) was the son of Daniel Anderson in Holmes, Mississippi, United States.[1]

In the 1910 census Ezell (age 15) was the single son of Daniel Anderson in Beat 5, Holmes, Mississippi, United States.[2]

Ezell served as a private in World War I and registered in Lexington, Holmes, Mississippi, United States.[3][4]

In the 1930 census Ezell (age 26) was the widowed head of household in Mound Bayou, Bolivar, Mississippi, United States.[5]

Ezell married Margaret (Mullins) Anderson (abt.1906-1959) about1932, likely in Bolivar County, Mississippi.

On April 1, 1940, Margaret and Ezell were living with Margaret's sister, Myrtle Kimbrough, in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.[6]

On April 1, 1950,Ezell, aged 50, was working as an Undertaker in Mound Bayou, Bolivar, Mississippi.[7]

Ezell died on 24 May 1964. [8]He was buried in Hearon Cemetery, Mound Bayou, Bolivar County, Mississippi, United States with a death date of 24 May 1964.[9]

Research Notes

Possible first wife per an Ancestry Tree:

  1. Everlina Unknown - died before 1930. A death record for an Everlen Anderson who died in 1928 in Mississippi was located but insufficient information exists to confirm this is Ezell's first wife.[10]
  • On the 1940 census there appears to be a child, Vera Anderson, age 7 born in Mississippi. She does not appear with Margaret and Ezell on the 1950 census. She may have died between 1940 and 1950.
  • The date and place of marriage is speculated based on the child, Vera, date and place of birth.
