Richard Ankrom was born on 7 Jul 1815 in Greene, Pennsylvania to parents Joseph Ankrom and Elizabeth Sellers. He married firstly Tacy Miller on 16 Aug 1837 in jackson, Ohio. Children: Barbara E, Eliza. After Tacy died in 1842 he married secondly Lucy Ann Lanchester Stott on 3 May 1842 in Hocking, Ohio. Children: Rebecca, Thomas, Prudence, Susannah, Abbie C. He died on 16 Sep 1876 in Indiana and was buried in Reed Cemetery, Wayne Township, Jay County, Indiana.
