William Appo is a part of US Black heritage.
William Appo served in the United States Civil War.

William Appo was born about 1842. He was the son of William Appo and Elizabeth Brady.[1]
William Appo joined the Army from North Elba in 1861, the first of three black North Elbans to enlist, and died at the Second Battle of Bull Run, in 1862.[2]
