Hello I'm currently doing some family research and came across your post. I had a great nan called lilian gwendolyn apps who married Frank Walton in Weston-super-Mare. Lilians mum was Martha lilian maud apps and father fredrick apps. I would love to know if you had anymore information for me as sadly my great nan, nan and father have all passed away.

Hi Shaz,

Well it looks to me like my Lillian and yours are one and the same person, albeit the Find My Past record contains a clerical error in that it lists her as Lillian C Apps. Although I didn't know her, she was apparently my second cousin once removed which in genealogical terms is just like your next door neighbour but one.

If you can fill in the gaps between you and her, i.e. your parents and grandparents, you can link into a family tree which goes back to the middle of the 18th century and includes photographs of your 4x great grandparents William Foster and Jane Saxby. If I can be of any help, please let me know.
