Birth

Esther Louise was born near Pittsburgh on 6 September 1830.^[1] Esther Louise was the child of Carson William Arbuthnot and Mary Frances Jones.^[1]

Marriage and Children

She married Stephen Newton in April 1850 in Tama County, Iowa.^[1] They had four daughters and two sons together.^[1] They are:

2. Katherine (Newton) Shafer
3. Lucy (Newton) Mills
4. William Newton
5. John Newton
6. Eliza (Newton) Keck

Death

Esther Louise died on 27 July 1915 in St Lawrence, South Dakota.^[1][2][3]
