Isbel Ashby is a part of US Black heritage.

Isbel was born before 1754 in St Thomas Province, Berkeley, Province of South Carolina.

She was enslaved by Thomas Ashby who bequeathed her in his will to his heirs. She was listed on the Estate Inventory taken on 3 May 1754 with a value of $200.[1]
