Born Gérard Aumard, Gérard Lenorman is a popular French singer-songwriter.
In 1968, he wrote two songs for Brigitte Bardot, “La Fille de Paille”and “Je voudrais perdre la mémoire”. He released his first album in 1969 and was the opening act on tour with Sylvie Vartan. In 1970-1971, stepped into the lead role in the theatrical French production of the musical "Hair". In 1988, he represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland, reaching tenth place with "Chanteur de charme". In 1994, he released a greatest hits album that went gold in France. In 2007, he published his biography which discusses his unknown father. In 2011, he released the popular "Dous de mes Chansons" which reached second place in the French album charts.
His latest album "Le Goût Du Bonheur" (The Taste of Happiness) was released in 2021.
He is the son of Madeleine Lenorman and an unknown German soldier. Wife: Caroline, 4 children, div. 1989.
