Biography
Rebecca (Babb) Whitten was born in Massachusetts.
Birth
Rebecca was born in 1809 at Westbrook, Massachusetts, which was annexed to Maine in 1820. Her parents are not known at this time.
Marriage and Children
Rebecca married Joseph Whitten (1811-1888), the son of Elisha and Elizabeth (Jeffers) Whitten on 6 August 1837 at Westbrook, Maine.[1]They had a daughter born at Maine:
- Isidore F. Whitten (b. 1852; d. 1879, Gloucester, MA)
In 1860, Rebecca (51 years, b. ME, husband Joseph (48 years, b. ME, occupation Operative) and daughter Isidore (9 years, b. ME) were living at Westbrook, Cumberland, Maine.[2]
Death
Rebecca (Babb) Whitten died on 13 March 1879 in her 70th year at Gloucester, Massachusetts. [Needs source].
