Biography

Margrietje was born in 1732. She passed away in 1843.

Named Margret Coon in father’s will.

NYC DRC baptism record for Margrietje July 23 1732 lists parents as Johan Jurry Bakkes and Elisabet Wys. Witnesses were Pieter Bakkes and Margrietje Kemmer (Wright [1902] p. 21). Also Jones (1991) p. 14.

Marriage to Hoofcote inferred from mention of their children in the will of Margrietje’s [second] husband Henry Koon.

Likewise, identification of husband Kuhn inferred from the mention of her Hoofcoot children in Henry’s will.

Inherited burial at Madrid, St. Lawrence, New York, United States unsourced.

Inherited dod of July 21 1843 rejected, but retained for further investigation.

Unknown-313392 and Bakkes-75 appear to represent the same person because: Although the identification of Bakkes is rather inferential it is better than unknown

Kilmer-27 and Unknown-313392 do not represent the same person because: It looks like more work is needed to conclude that that are the same.
