Biography
Treated in detail by Jones (1991) including parents citing Neuwied bpt record. He finds him joining NYC DRC along with siblings Aug. 22 1732. He judges the marriage with Wys to be at Neiwied Mar. 23 1732 and finds NYC records for 3 of their children (p. 13f).
Married 23 Mar 1732 in Germany. Church Records show he and his wife emigrated to New York in 1732.
Dutchess Co. will of Johannes Bockkes dated July 13 1781 proved Oct. 1 1787 mentions sons Johannes, William, Adam and Peter and daughters Margaret Coon and Elisabeth Hogeboom.
