Biography
Chloe Tyler Ballou was born in 1815. She was the daughter of David Ballou and Chloe (Tyler) Ballou. She married Rev. Joseph Barber in 1833. She passed away in 1859 in Dudley, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.
Chloe Tyler Ballou married Joseph Barber at Monroe, Massachusetts, on 22 Aug 1833.[1] [2] In 1850, Joseph Barber, 49, born in Massachusetts, Universalist clergyman, was living at Alstead, New Hampshire, with Chloe Barber, 35, born in Massachusetts; and with Ophelia A. Barber, 17, born in Massachusetts; Augusta C. Barber, 10, born in New Hampshire; and Wm. N. Barber, 3, born in New Hampshire.[3] By 1855, the family had moved to Dudley, Massachusetts, where Joseph was a minister, and they were living there with with their children Augusta and William and with Joseph's mother, Abigail Barker.[4]
Chloe Barber, town pauper, died from consumption at Dudley, Massachusetts, on 28 Sep 1859.[5] They had three known children, born between about 1834 and 1847; see the "Children" section of her husband's profile.
