On 21 January 1943 at Melbourne Robert Henry Irwin Bamford, born 20 September 1923, enlisted with the Royal Australian Air Force and served as a Leading Aircraftman with the General Reconnaissance School, Bairnsdale. He was discharged on 17 December 1945. [2]
Robert Henry Irwin Bamford married Gladys Worland in 1947 in Victoria.[3]
