Hezekiah Banks served with 4th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Military Service

Hezekiah Banks served as a Private in the Company of Captain Jabez Wheeler, in Col. Samuel Whiting's 4th Regiment of Connecticut Militia, commanded by LTC Cmdt. Jonathan Dimon.^[2]

Probate

His will is dated 17 September 1811 and proved on 25 April 1812 in Fairfield. He mentions his wife Sarah, Sturges, Hezekiah, Jesup, Walter, Sarah, Patty, Mary, and Arette.^[3]

His inventory was completed in Weston on 6 May 1812.^[4]

In 1813, the estate distribution was set out to the widow, Mary, wife of Sherwood Seeley, Polly, wife of John Staples, Anta Banks, Sturges Banks, Hezekiah Banks, Jesup Banks, Walter Banks, and Sarah, wife of Joseph Hill.^[5]
