William was the son of Samuel and Ann Barber and was born 27 Aug 1728. [1] He married Elizabeth Jones before 1767. [2]

Revolutionary Service:
This William probably did not serve in the Revolutionary War. Pension application has been located for William Barber who served but his date of birth was at least 20 years later. There was a statement contained on the pension file that only one William Barber from Virginia served.
