Research Notes

From Edmund S Soper's Weymouth Ways and Weymouth People - Reminiscences, pub 1907, regarding Ebenezer Hunt:

His only daughter, Susannah, married Mr. Caleb Stetson of Braintree. He then married the widow Tirza Bates; she was the mother of Mrs. Balch Cowing, Mrs. Warren Weston, and Joshua Bates, the noted banker of London, England. After Deacon Hunt died in 1832, Mr. Balch Cowing occupied the house until widow Hunt died in 1841.
