Christopher Baughman was born in Appalachia, in West Virginia.
Christopher Layman Baughman was born in 1788 in Botetourt County, Virginia, United States, son of Henry Baughman Jr. (1750 - 1807) and Mary (Layman) Baughman (1748 - 1807).
His brother was John Baughman (1774 - 1857).
Christopher married Rachel Glassburn (1791 - 1843) Their son was David Baughman (1819 - 1903).
Christopher died on 29 Sep 1861 in Birch River, Nicholas County, West Virginia aged ~73.
