Death of Mr. John Bawden.
John Bawden, 76, died in the Dubbo District Hospital last week after a short illness. Deceased was a native of Cornwall, and came to Australia as a young man. He was 32 years in the service of the Railway Department, serving in the west at Nevertire, Molong and Dubbo.

JOHN BAWDEN.
The death took place on Wednesday of John Bawden, a retired railway man at the age of 76 years. The Deceased, who retired from the railway service about 12 years ago, was for 32 years stationed in western towns, principally at Nevertire, Molong and Dubbo. When he retired he was in charge of the Erskine-street gates at Dubbo. He was a man who was widely known and made hosts of friends wherever he went.
He leaves a family of four sons and two daughters. They are John, Thomas, Albert, Arthur, Mrs. Reynolds (Sydney), and Mrs. Ott (Dubbo).
The body was conveyed to the Methodist portion of the Dubbo cemetery yesterday by Undertaker Lees. The Rev. Graham read the burial service.
