John was 18 months old when he arrived in New Zealand with his family aboard the Mary Shepherd.
John farmed at Pendarves. On retirement he moved to Tinwald where he had land and a cottage.
In 1928, John and his sister Eliza were granted Probate of their brother Robert's Will. [1]
John Baxter died in 1948. Probate of his Will was granted to his sister Elizabeth (Eliza) and bequeathed his property to her. [2]
