Abraham was born in 1813 and married at age 30 to Elizabeth Ann Hauser.[1] He died in 1906 at 92 years old.[2][3]

Abraham Baxter was a Civil War Soldier who served as a Pvt. under Captain Thomas F. Whaley, CO. Cook Cty, 1st Fron. Dist.; Maj. Wm Quayle Cmdg., TST with elistment showing Jan 1864 at Gainesville, Tex.(sic) in F.1-64 at Gainesville, Texas. remarks are as follows: "R&F 77; Enr.off.Capt.T.F.Whaley;Arms none;Co. org. under Act of Dec.15-63. 1 MR. dtd. Jan. 30-64; 1PR. dtd. F.1 to Je.1-64.Present.Mus.Off.Maj.Wm.Quayle." [4]
