Biography

Eunice, the daughter of Perez Martin Benjamin and his wife Sarah,[1] was born at Gaspereau, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada,[2] on 22 April 1830.[3]

She married three times.

First, she married Marshall Thompson in 1863.[4]. A Bond for their marriage of R. Marshall Thomson, bachelor, and Eunice Benjamin, spinster, was filed on 24 Feb 1863 at Kentville, Kings, Nova Scotia. (The date at the top of the Bond is 23 Feb 1863.)[5] They had at least 6 children, all born in Nova Scotia, including:

  • Petrowna Igena
  • Giles Whittington
  • Safford N.

Second, she married David D. Coldwell on 9 Aug 1879 at Horton, Kings, Nova Scotia.. David was a 50 year old bachelor farmer. His parents were Eliphaht and Martha Coldwell.[1]

Her third husband was Nathan Randall. Eunice T. Coldwell, a 62 year old widow, and Nathan Randall, a 63 year old widowed farmer, were married by License at Gaspereaux, Kings, Nova Scotia, on 10 Aug 1892. He lived at Grand Pre at the time of their marriage, but he was born in Lower Horton, the son of Nathl. and Talley. She lived at Gaspereaux at the time of their marriage.[2]

In 1881, David and Eunice Coldwell lived in Gaspereau, Kings, Nova Scotia, with 4 Thompson children. David is a farmer.[6]
