Annie was born on 7 July 1876[1][2][3] in Netherton, Yorkshire. She was the daughter of Mary (Hinchliffe)[1] and George Bentley[1].
The Bentley family lived at Little London on South Lane, Netherton[1], miners cottages built to support miners working in the nearby pit. These were purportedly built by the Lister-Kaye family, see Emma Lister-Kaye, c. 1852 to house miners who worked in the Little London pit (see facebook page link below, but needs better evidence).
In 1891, Annie (14) was still living with her parents and working as an assistant feeder in a cloth mill[1].
Annie married Ernest William Moody on 26 December 1899 at St John's Church in Horbury Bridge. They had four children: Marion (1902 - 1961), Edith (1904 - 1984), Elsie (1907 - 1924) and George (1913 - 1969).
The Moody family lived at Netherton[2] (likely at Lodge Terrace (now 49 - 63 South Lane), first cited in the 1921 census[3] and last cited on Annie's death certificate).
She died 7 October 1932.
