Biography

Flag of Yorkshire (adopted 2008)
Marion (Moody) Booth was born in Horbury, Yorkshire, England.

(Full inline references for ease of editing both references and narrative [1] [2] [3] [4]).

Marion was born on 5 April 1902[4] in Horbury[1][2]. She was the daughter of Annie (Bentley) and Ernest Moody.

In 1911 the Moody family was living in Netherton[1]. The 1921 census ties the family to Lodge Terrace (now 49 - 63 South Lane)[2].

Marion married Arthur Booth on 14 February 1925 at Netherton Wesleyan Chapel[3]. They had two daughters Hilda (1925 - 2013) and Mary (1928 - 1999). Initially the Booths started out farming in Kettlesing (where Mary was born), but soon moved to Askwith (where Arthur was from) and remained there for the rest of their lives[4].
