Biography

Kateřina Beranová was born at Tupadly 5 to an unwed mother, Barbora Beranová on November 4, 1863.[1] I have not yet been able to find any type of documentation stating who her father may have been. In US records, she is listed as being 2 years younger, born in November, 1865.[2]

She married Antonin Syřínek in Časlav in 1885.[3] Anton and Kateřina emigrated to the United States around 1893.[4][5][6] At some point as immigrants, the Syřínek name became Sirinek.

Sometime after her husband's death in 1922, she married Frank Dvorak and moved to Hopkins, Minnesota.[7] After Frank's death in 1938, she returned to Chicago and lived with her daughter Anna (Sirinek) Chenault.[8]

Katherine passed away in 1948.[9]

Notes

There are numerous references in family trees posted on various genealogy sites listing her last name as "Berans" or "Beranek". Neither is correct.
