Biography
Private Silas Betts served with 9th Connecticut Regiment (1780), Continental Army during the American Revolution.
Silas Betts is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A009775.
Silas Betts was born on 1 Sep 1752 in Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut to parents Silas Betts and Elizabeth Lockwood.[1][2]
He married Abigail Smith on 20 May 1777 in Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut.[3]

Military
He served in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War as a Private in the 9th Regiment Connecticut Militia, Capt. Gregory's Company under Gen. Wooten. Also served in Capt. Hobby's Company. He entered on 21 Oct 1776 and was discharged on 11 Jan 1777.[11][12]
