Biography

Elizabeth may have been born about 1724 in Fairfield County, Connecticut. She would then have been about 22 years of age when she married. Elizabeth passed away 29 April 1759 in Greenwich, Fairfield, Connecticut.[1]

Elizabeth married Silas Betts in January 1743/44 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut.[2]

Research notes

The marriage record for Elizabeth and Silas Betts states that Elizabeth was the daughter of Gershom. There is an Elizabeth listed as daughter of Gershom born 9 January 1739. This is obviously not the Elizabeth here as she would been only five years old when she married.

There is a Gershom and a Gershom Junior Lockwood listed in the Barbour Collection. Unknown if they are the same person or father and son.
