She was the elder daughter of Bessie Dora Cunningham and Thomas Joseph Biggs II, eldest son of Rev Robert O'Callaghan Biggs, many years Vicar of Hamilton.
In February 1905 she was chief bridesmaid at the wedding of Dr James Freeborn Bennett and Ida Grace Paul, only daughter of Mr and Mrs James Paul, at the Presbyterian Church in New Plymouth. 1 Mar 1905, Wedding Bells, Bennett - Paul, TH, Vol LIV, Issue 12796, Papers Past, NLNZ.
In 1906 she married Henry Colin Balneavis Shera, with issue one daughter. Her husband died in 1930.
She died on 7 July 1945, aged 64. She was buried on 9 July 1945 at Purewa Cemetery, Auckland (Block A Row 30 Plot 101).[1]
