Biography

Charlotte Bird was the 4th daughter of Robert Bird and Charlotte Pugh. She was born on 17 November 1835.

1851 Douglas, York, New Brunswick, Canada.^[1]

1861 Canada, New Brunswick Census: Charlotte Bird, Domestic Servant, 25; in Household of John Medley, DD, Bishop of Fredericton.

Marriage and family

On 21 April 1864 at St Mary the Virgin Church, New Maryland, New Brunswick, she married Rev Canon Charles Steinkopff Medley, 3rd son of Rt-Rev John Medley DD, Bishop of Fredericton, New Brunswick, later Metropolitan of Canada, without issue.

Later years

Her husband died in 1889. He was buried at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner, Kings County, New Brunswick.

Death and burial

She died on 2 May 1898. She was buried with her husband in Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner.
