Biography

Captain Ozias Bissell Sr served with Col Enos' Regiment (1778), Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Capt. Ozias Bissell Sr was Prisoner of War during American Revolution.

Ozias was born 13 May 1729, in Bolton CT, the son of John and Hannah Bissell. He served the American Revolution as a Lieutenant at the Lexington alarm. As a Captain, he served with Cols. Huntington and Wells. He was taken as a Prisoner of War.

Captain Ozias Bissell d. 16 Nov 1822 at age 93. Buried in E. Manchester CT.
