From a letter to Ann Frederking from Pat Ingersoll - "Phebe was the baby. Trained as a nurse at Clifton Springs. Married Earle Grady - a charming Irishman. Took her own life for reasons unknown except to my father [Leslie] who never disclosed the facts he learned from Grady at the time of the funeral"
