Biography

Adèle Boily, daughter of Jean Baptiste Boily and Angèle Bilodeau, married Augustin Cloutier on 14 February 1860 in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce.[1]

Obituary

Mrs. Augustus Clukey (1839 - January 21, 1918) died Monday afternoon at her home on Grove street, aged 79 years. She leaves besides her husband, five children, Mrs. Joseph Mountain, Mrs. Fred Folsom, Paul Clukey, Mrs. John Pooler, Frank Clukey and an adopted son, Thomas Clukey. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, at St. Ann's Catholic church, Rev. T. C. Maney officiating. Bearers were Frank Clukey, Charles Clukey, Paul CIukey and John Pooler. Mrs. Clukey was well-known and liked, and will be missed in her neighborhood and in her church.[2]

Research Notes

The FamilySearch copy of the baptism spells the family name Boilly[3], while the Drouin copy spells the name Boily (albeit with one of the letters marked out).[4]

Daughter Sadie married Fred Cyrus Folsom September 25, 1905 in Dexter, Maine. Fred's father named Wilbur Folsom (vermont) and mother named Abbie Houston (levant, maine). Ida's maiden name listed as Bailey.[7]

Daughter Lucy married Joseph Mountain June 19, 1894 in Dexter maine. Joseph's father Peter Mountain (dead at time of wedding) of Victoria Canada and Mary Pouler of Victoria Canada. Peter and Mary lived in Dexter, Maine. Augustus listed as born in St Joseph Canada. Augustus' wife listed as Lydia Baily of St. Joseph Canada.[8]

Daughter Mary died October 10, 1909 at the age of 45 of Tuberculosis. Mother listed as Adele Bailey. Certificate shows she was married to Charles C. Clukey.[9]

William Cloutier married Emma Fournier on August 15, 1904. Emma's parents listed as Dennis Fournier and Mary Fontaine. Not sure if this is the same Augustus, because his wife is listed as Adile La Crosse.[10]
