William Bonser was born in Western Australia, Australia

William James Bonser (Bonsor) was born on 25 December 1854 in Northam, Western Australia [1][2]. He was the eldest son of, John Bonser, 28 and, Margaret Burke, 22, two of the oldest settlers in the Toodyay district.

He married Bridget McMahon on 30 July 1877 [3] in Northam, Western Australia. They had 11 children in 22 years.

William was a farmer at "Greenhills", Northam in the 1870s.

In the 1880s he worked as a bricklayer and brickmaker.[2]

In 1903 [4] he lived in Southern Brook, Western Australia with his wife Bridget and their son John. He worked as a farmer at that time.

William died on 25 Feb 1928 [5] in Meckering, Cunderdin Shire, Western Australia, Australia. He was buried in the Northam Pioneer Cemetery, Northam, Northam Shire, Western Australia, Australia.

Mr. William James Bonser died suddenly at his residence at Meckering on February 25 at the age of 74 years. His parents were the late John and. Margaret Bonser, two of the oldest settlers in the Toodyay district, and it was here deceased was born in 1854. He married Miss Bridget Mclnnery at Irishtown in 1877 and his wife, six sons and a daughter survive him. The interment took place in the family grave at Northam on Monday.[6]
